Sleet, Snow Predicted for Monday Night
Winter weather advisory from 9 p.m. Monday night through 7 a.m. Tuesday

The National Weather Service is predicting that Monday night there's a 90 percent chance of rain and sleet before 1 a.m., sleet after 1 a.m. and snow after 4 a.m. New snow and sleet accumulation are expected to be a few inches, and there could be a messy morning commute.
There's a winter weather advisory from 9 p.m. Monday through 7 a.m. Tuesday for the City of Alexandria and surrounding areas.
On Tuesday, the chance of snow before 7 a.m. is 80 percent and the day's high will only be about 34 degrees. The snow accumulation is only expected to be an inch or so. Tuesday night is expected to be clear, but with lows in the 20s. Things improve a little on Wednesday with a sunny day and a high near 43.
