State Budget Proposal Would Cut Teen Pregnancy Prevention Programs
Governor would cut money from program at T.C. Williams Teen Wellness Center.

Gov. McDonnell is proposing to eliminate funding for teen pregnancy prevention programs, such as the one offered at the housed at .
McDonnell seeks to trim $445,000 for the programs, which are currently offered throughout the state, according to the Virginia Politics blog on washingtonpost.com.
The governor’s administration says it’s nixing the funding because the programs don’t work and teen pregnancy rates continue to be above the state average in the localities offering the initiative.
