String Of High-End Alcohol Thefts Leads To Alexandria Man's Charges
An Alexandria man has been linked to six thefts from state alcohol stores within two days, according to Fairfax County Police.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — An Alexandria man is facing charges tied to thefts from the state-owned alcohol stores in Fairfax County, according to police.
Fairfax County Police have been investigating multiple high-end alcohol thefts at Virginia ABC stores since Dec. 12. During the thefts, suspects entered stores and concealed high-end tequila and cognac in coats before fleeing.
Police have linked Joseph Womack, 38, of Alexandria, to six of the thefts:

- Dec. 13 in 6200 block of Little River Turnpike in Lincolnia
- Dec. 13 in the 7200 block of Little River Turnpike in Annandale
- Dec. 13 in the 8400 block of Old Courthouse Road in Tysons
- Dec. 13 in the 7100 block of Leesburg Pike in Falls Church
- Dec. 13 in the 2900 block of Chain Bridge Road in Oakton
- Dec. 14 in the 3500 block of South Jefferson Street in Bailey's Crossroads
Womack was charged with six counts of petit larceny and is being held on a secured bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Detectives are seeking additional suspects in three other alcohol store thefts. Surveillance footage of the suspects was released.
