Thanida Thai Relocates With Old Town North Site Slated For Redevelopment
Thanida Thai Restaurant and Bar, one of the restaurants at the development-bound Montgomery Center, has found a new home.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — With Old Town North's Montgomery Center slated for redevelopment, one of its restaurant tenants has made a move within Alexandria.
Thanida Thai Restaurant and Bar is open at its new location at 1210 N. Fayette Street. The Thai restaurant is owned by Songyodh Tantiyangkul (Noom), who has 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, and Jaruvan Simuang (Yui). The owners' other Old Town restaurant is Zento Japanese.
According to the restaurant's website, Thanida Thai specializes in authentic Thai cuisine and Thai street food. The restaurant incorporates recipes from Noom's father, who moved to the U.S. 40 years ago and worked as a chef at one of the DC area's first Thai restaurants. Dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients and traditional Thai spices. From spicy curries or to savory stir fries, the restaurant aims to have something for all tastes.
