UPDATE: All Lanes Open After Water Main Break Repairs at N. Quaker Lane and Duke Street

Virginia American Water spokeswoman: All lanes are open Wednesday morning.

UPDATE 7:45 a.m.: All lanes are now open and water main repairs are completed at N. Quaker Lane and Duke Street, according to a spokeswoman for Virginia American Water.

If you use Quaker Lane near Duke Street or westbound Duke Street during your morning commute, here's a heads up: Virginia American Water continues to make repairs Wednesday morning for a water main break at the intersection of N. Quaker Lane and Duke Street, according to the Metropolitan Area Transportation Operations Coordination.

Repairs on the break started during the afternoon rush hour Tuesday.

One westbound lane on Duke Street is blocked Wednesday morning, according to MATOC; there was no mention by MATOC or Virginia American Water about Quaker Lane; on Tuesday afternoon, Quaker Lane was down to one lane both northbound and southbound.

About eight homes are without water service during the repairs, according to Virginia American Water.
