Unconscious Person Rescued From High-Rise Fire In Alexandria
The firefighters union said a rescue occurred during a response to a high-rise fire near the fire station.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A person was rescued during a fire response in Alexandria Tuesday, according to the IAFF Local 2141 firefighters union.
The union said fire had been showing from a high-rise at 5375 Duke Street, which is just across the street from the Alexandria Fire Station 208. Units had entered and found an apartment on fire. Two firefighters found an unconscious person in the hallway and removed the person to the stairwell for treatment.
There was no immediate word on what caused the fire or damages. The union said the blaze was a two-alarm fire.
