Brown University Shooting: Student From Alexandria Details Campus Reaction

ALEXANDRIA, VA — An Alexandria City High School graduate is one of the Brown University students that was on campus as the shooting that killed two students happened on Saturday.

Alexandria's Luca Gwathmey spoke with Fox5 about how he was notified about the shooting while in the dorm. Gwathmey told the news station that students were using the campus SideChat app and texts to share information about the shooting with each other.

"It was pretty hectic as you can imagine," Gwathmey told Fox5. "You just don't expect something like this to occur. When you start seeing texts about it, it all feels almost like a joke, like a prank."
