Vegas Hospitality Guru to Oversee MGM National Harbor Nightlife Venues

MGM National Harbor revealed new details Monday of two venues that will be a part of the resort across the Potomac from Alexandria: Felt Bar & Lounge and Blossom Cocktail Lounge, the company announced Monday in a news release.

Clique, a boutique hospitality company, is overseeing the design and cocktail programs of the two lounges. The company is led by nighlife developer Andy Masi.

“Andy and the team at Clique are true innovators in the field and will help us define and execute what will become a key component of our resort experience,” said Bill Boasberg, general manager of MGM National Harbor. “We believe Felt and Blossom will very quickly become the destinations to see and be seen in the Capital Region for visitors and locals alike.”

At MGM National Harbor, Masi and the Clique team partnered with KNA Design to conceive Felt Bar & Lounge, a cocktail spot with an outdoor terrace featuring views of the nation’s capital, as well as Blossom Bar & Lounge, described as a "sexy space" at the heart of the casino floor.

Masi, co-founder and CEO of Clique Hospitality, said: “We’re looking forward to bringing these two new concepts to life as our first ventures on the East Coast. Having a home base in Las Vegas has allowed us to explore and develop many new concepts and ideas. We’re incorporating the best of what we’ve learned into these new venues at MGM National Harbor and can’t wait to get to know the local audience.”

Felt Bar & Lounge

Felt Bar & Lounge will feature both live music and DJ-driven sounds offering three different interior areas for conversation, mingling and dancing. Felt will feature an outdoor terrace, a stone fire pit with comfortable seating, along with vignettes of nautical-inspired chairs and couches.

Mixology "from the minds of the most creative bartenders" will take center stage with classics and of-the-moment cocktails featuring fresh juices and colorful garnishes. Felt also will offer table-side mixology.

Blossom Cocktail Lounge

MGM National Harbor’s center bar, Blossom Cocktail Lounge, will be a 24-hour gaming lounge offering an easy-going atmosphere along with modern cocktails, micro- and macro-brewed beers and creative, fun shooters to jump-start the night.

Blossom will feature four table games with a wood-plank ceiling intermixes with custom-made branch-like light fixtures each supporting delicate, transparent globes emulating petals and flowers. The lounge’s focal wall will be outfitted with art panels featuring photos of local cherry blossoms.
