Sunday Traffic Advisory: Running Festival Half Marathon
Take a look here at which streets and trails will be in use on Sunday during the festival in Alexandria.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The Alexandria Running Festival Half Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, May 29 in Alexandria.
This race course utilizes public roadways as well as parks and trails. The following roads and areas will be affected Sunday from 5 a.m. through noon:
- Eisenhower Avenue: 2000-5800 block, traffic will be rerouted. Westbound lanes will be closed for vehicular traffic. Runners will utilize these lanes. Eastbound lanes will be marked off and will support both east and west bound vehicular traffic.
- Wheeler Avenue: Floyd Avenue to the 5000 block of Wheeler Avenue will have limited vehicular access and other traffic will be rerouted.
- Holmes Run Parkway: 4500 block of Holmes Run near South Jenkins Street will be closed.
The following trails will be used by the Half Marathon: Tarleton Park trail, Ben Brenman Park trail, Veteran’s Park trail and Brook Valley Park trail.
