Mike Van Meter is the only Republican running in the 11th District race, so he will be his party's candidate in November.

This is the first primary Connolly has participated in since he defeated challenger Zainab Mohsini in 2020. The closest thing he had to a previous primary as a congressional candidate was in 2018. In that race, Jonathan Park withdrew and the primary was cancelled.
