Second Assault Attempt on W&OD Trail

Officers are investigating the attempted assault of a jogger on the W&OD Bike Trail Thursday morning, according to Leesburg Police. It is the second recent assault attempt on the W&OD, with another alleged incident last week in Sterling reportedly involving two unidentified subjects.

Police advise users of the trail to always stay alert and be aware of your surroundings (don't wear earphones) and walk, run or bike with a partner or group. >>> Read more.

Record-Breaking Year of D.C. Visitors, Money Spent by Tourists

Washington, D.C., had a banner tourism year in 2015, shattering records for both the number of visitors to the District as well as dollars spent.
