Joseph P. McDermott of Reston passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013.
He was born on August 2, 1950 in Fort Monmouth , NJ. Joe graduated from Laurel High School and received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Jenkins of 21 years, his son, Michael McDermott, his sister, Brigette Sadosky, and his nephew, Daniel Sadosky. Joe is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at Advent Funeral & Cremation Services, 7211 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22046 on Sunday, April 7 from 3pm to 5pm.
Funeral services will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fairfax, 2709 Hunter Mill Rd., Oakton, Va 22124 on Monday, April 8 at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at National Memorial Park.
