University of Phoenix Northern Virginia Campus Names New Chair for Nursing

University of Phoenix Northern Virginia Campus in Reston announced that Sharon C. Berry has been named the new Campus College Chair for Nursing.

Berry will manage the campus’ Nursing School and help nursing students receive a quality education that prepares them for the diverse and ever changing role of a registered nurse.

Prior to coming to the University of Phoenix, Berry served as the Patient Care Director for Labor, Delivery and Recovery at Inova Fairfax Hospital’s Women Center. Prior to that position, Berry was the Director of Maternal Child Health at Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center.  Berry recently became board certified as a Nurse Executive through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

“Sharon is a dynamic leader who truly believes in the impact of the University of Phoenix Nursing Program,” said University of Phoenix Campus Director Erik Greenberg. “Her passion for developing students into nurse leaders through education, research, management and practice makes Sharon perfectly suited for the role of Nursing Campus College Chair.”

Berry graduated from Thomas Jefferson University’s School of Nursing in Philadelphia, Pa., with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Berry went on to complete master’s degrees in nursing and health administration at University of Phoenix.
