Boston Properties Negotiating Massive Lease At Reston Town Center

BXP is hoping to settle a lease at Discovery Square that would involve a quarter of the space in one of the buildings.

RESTON, VA — Reston Town Center manager Boston Properties is in the midst of negotiating a massive lease for one of their buildings that would bring occupancy to 98 percent, an executive said during BXP's quarterly conference call Wednesday morning.

The unidentified BXP executive said that a lease for 45,000 square feet of space is under negotiation at Discovery Square, which would represent a quarter of all of the space at one of the two office buildings.

Once signed, the lease will bring the property to nearly full capacity. And it's representative of the strength the Reston market continues to show, the executive said.
