Business Watch: Bar Method, Beer and Baubles

Beer here - Tavern 64 Regional Kitchen, the new restaurant at The Hyatt Regency Reston, will take part in DC Beer Week this week. 

DC Beer Week - “celebration of good beer in the National Capital Region” - features many events and seminars throughout the DC area. Tavern 64 opened in June and includes on its menu eight taps with local and regional brews.

Come and check out Port City’s Maniacal DIPA, which will be poured at Tavern64 at a special "Meet the Brewers Event" on Friday at 5 p.m.

Big sale - Midtown Jewelers at Reston Town Center is holding a "40 minutes, 40 percent off sale Wednesday at 4 p.m. So if you have been admiring a piece of jewelry or a watch, stop by for big savings.

Step up to the Bar - We hear a Bar Method Studio is heading for the Tysons-Reston area. The Bar Method is a body sculpting workout that uses principles of ballet and Pilates. There are franchises nationwide, including one in  D.C. Click here for more info, and we will give you more details (such as location and expected opening) when we get them).

Contain Yourself - The Container Store in the old Barnes & Noble space is getting closer to its Sept. 21 opening. The big sign is in place. The Container Store says it expects to create 35 jobs here and will contribute 10 percent of opening-weekend sales to Cornerstones (formerly Reston Interfaith).
