Business Watch: Paddleboards, Beer and Container Store All Ready for Reston
Reston business news you need to know this week.

1. Are paddleboards at Lake Audubon a business or a recreational opportunity? This was the discussion at the Reston Association meeting last week, but RA - for the second time this month - approved Surf Reston Standup Paddleboard Adventures to open for lessons. Read more here.
2. Are you a beer drinker? Then this new place opening at Reston Town Center will interest you.
3. Save the date - the Tysons Corner Walmart will open on Aug. 14. Will you shop there?
4. Save another date - The Container Store will open at Reston's Spectrum on Sept. 21. Watch for lots of opening weekend events. The company has partnered with Reston Interfaith (soon to be called Cornerstones after Aug. 1). The nonprofit will receive 10 percent of opening weekend sales.
5. Life Time Athletic is also eyeing a mid-September opening of its 114,000 square foot Diamond level sports club. If you live in Reston, you probably have been getting the glossy mailings of super fit models enjoying their workout. Has it swayed you to pony up the $140 a month to become a founding member?
