Coming Sunday: Reston Sprint Triathlon
Race in North Reston will benefit Reston Interfaith.

Hundreds of triathletes will be lined up at Lake Newport Pool bright and early Sunday morning when the Reston Sprint Triathlon gets underway.
The annual event benefits Reston Interfaith.
The race begins at 7 a.m. The course includes a quarter-mile swim, a 12-mile bike through North Reston and a three-mile run that partially takes place on Reston Association paths.

The bike portion will take place on Weihle Avenue, Reston Parkway and Baron Cameron Avenue. Those roads will likely be affected until 9 a.m. They will not be closed, but drivers will be need to watch for cyclists and slow traffic.
