Man Arrested After 'Domestic Situation' In Reston: Police
Police have arrested a man after a domestic situation unfolded at a Reston home on Friday.

RESTON, VA -- A man has been arrested after a "domestic-related situation" unfolded at a home in Reston on Friday.
Police have responded to the 11700 block of Summerchase Circle at around 9 a.m., and first tweeted what was going on at 1:29 p.m., urging people to avoid the area. Shortly after, they announced that they were closing Lake Newport Road between North Point Drive and Newport Spring Court.
"Please avoid the area as our officers attempt to peacefully de-escalate the situation," the tweet added.

Shortly after 2 p.m., police tweeted that the man had been safely taken into custody, and that Lake Newport Road had been reopened.
