Dulles Area Transportation Association Recognized for Offering Transit Travel Training Classes

DATA provided transit travel training to local immigrants to afford them more access to healthcare, services, and employment opportunities.

The Reston-based Dulles Area Transportation Association (DATA) was just recognized by the Centreville Immigration Forum (CIF), for DATA's workforce development transit travel training classes for CIF clients. The nonprofit DATA has been able to offer bus, Metro, and classroom trainings for CIF clients for the last three years with generous funding from the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, the Claude Moore Charitable Foundation, the Ruth and Hal Launders Charitable Trust, and other DATA supporters.

DATA is particularly proud to have equipped so many marginalized residents in Northern Virginia with the knowledge and confidence to use our transit system to improve their access to healthcare, social services, and better employment prospects, including many career opportunities at Dulles International Airport. DATA is grateful to the Centreville Immigration Forum not only for this acknowledgement, but for their tireless work to help those less fortunate among us.
