Lake Anne Jazz, RDGLDGRN, Fancy Cars and Labor Day

1. Big fun at Lake Anne Jazz Fest - this goes on all day (1 p.m. - 8 p.m. Saturday) and features Reston's own Beverly Cosham (1 p.m.) and Mykle Lyons (4 p.m.), as well as nationally renowned harpist/singer Rashida Jolley (7 p.m.). 

2. RDGLDGRN Performs for a good cause - in case you missed Wednesday's story about hip-hop artists RDGLDGRN, read their interesting backstory here and catch their Saturday night performance too.

3. College Football Begins - The "big" local game is Virginia Tech vs. No. 1 Alabama. Good luck, Hokies.

4. Herndon is having a Labor Day Festival from noon to 6 p.m. Monday. There will be music, local wineries and other merriment. Details here.
