Major Multi-Family Development Coming to Reston: Report
Rooney Properties has reportedly acquired part of an office complex on Sunset Hills Road.
RESTON, VA — Developer Rooney Properties reportedly has big plans for The Meridian Group's office property on Sunset Hills Road.
The developer is buying part of the property at 1111 Sunset Hills Road to turn it into 175 multi-family residential units and 13 townhomes, according to a Washington Business Journal report.
It'll take some rezoning, as the 2.9-acre site is zoned for industrial. An adjacent parcel also owned by Rooney Properties at 1831 Michael Faraday Drive that is planned for redevelopment into a 243-residential-unit property will also have to be rezoned.
