RESTON, VA -- Someone swiped a painting displayed at an exhibition at the Reston Community Center, and police launched "Operation Picasso" to get it back, according to a report.

The Fairfax County Police released their annual report Tuesday, and tucked away in a section for Reston District Station was a note about the art heist at RCC.

"Unfortunately, the Reston Community Center became a target when a painting was stolen from a local exhibition," the report states. "Recognizing the impact this act had on our community, Detectives assigned to the Reston District sprang into action. The appropriately coined Operation Picasso consisted of a team whose diligence lead [sic] to the successful recovery and return of this precious piece of artwork."
