Barbers stop by Southgate Community Center to make sure kids are ready for school.

Barbers from Fade ‘m Up, a barber shop located at 1110 Elden St., Suite F #110 in Herndon, are making sure that children at Reston's Southgate Community Center will look sharp when school starts next week.
Barbers Will and Amiel donated half a day on Wednesday to cut and shape up over 30 kids from the Reston area for a Back to School event at Southgate.
"The children that participated in our event come from very low-income families," says Southgate director Richard Cabelllos. "With the hustle and bustle of getting school supplies and clothes ready for back to school, haircuts are the last thing parents think about who are trying to pinch every penny they have and most our families live pay check to paycheck."

"These amazing gentlemen truly went above and beyond to offer a service that made a special day even more amazing," said Cabellos. "I hope they are remembered for their selfless acts as other community leaders do and we remember those who are less fortunate."
