Police Ask For Help Finding Reston Hit-And-Run Driver
Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a driver that struck and killed a teen in Reston.

RESTON, VA — Police are reaching out to the public for help in developing new leads in the case of a hit-and-run in Reston that left a teenager dead late last year.
Marvin Daniel Cruz Serrano, 16, of Reston was hit while crossing at South Lakes Drive and Castle Rock Square on Dec. 29, 2018, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The striking vehicle was likely a sedan according to witness accounts," the report states. "Detectives are seeking information on the make, model and driver."

"The vehicle would have heavy front-end damage but still be drivable," stated an earlier statement from police.
Police said in the initial release that they were investigating whether Serrano was in the crosswalk, but did not indicate in the latest statement if they had determined he was or not.
