Police Investigating Robbery and Assault Near Lake Anne
Victim hospitalized after incident on bike path Wednesday night.
A man was robbed and assaulted on the bike path near Maple Ridge Road in Reston late last Wednesday, Fairfax County Police said.
The victim, 46, was in the 11500 block of Maple Ridge near Lake Anne about 10:45 p.m. on Aug. 7 when two men approached him, according to police reports. The victim told police the men assaulted him and stole his cash.
The victim was hospitalized for his injuries and reported the incident the next day. He told the police the suspects were two black men in their 20s who were wearing dark clothing.
