Reston Company Makes Major Acquisition: Report

RESTON, VA — Reston-based Leidos will soon snap up a Pennsylvania company, the firm announced in a statement.

Leidos is set to acquire IMX Medical Management Services, which does commercial independent reviews, including services such as medical evaluations and case management.

"IMX, headquartered in Malvern, Pa., and its affiliated businesses provide independent medical evaluations, medical record reviews, and medical and vocational case management for insurance carriers, employers, law firms, third party administrators, and state and local government," the statement reads. "After the transaction closes, nearly 200 IMX and affiliate staff members will extend QTC's coverage area, and apply QTC's proven examination workflow technology that enables real-time access to case information, tracking and reporting."

Leidos expects the acquisition to close in the third quarter of 2019.

Leidos is a Fortune 500 IT firm that focuses on defense, intelligence, homeland security, civil, and health markets. It employs 33,000 people and reported annual revenues of around $10.19 billion in fiscal 2018.
