Reston Girl Dies From Injuries in July Car Accident
Police said teen tried to exit a moving vehicle on Lee Highway.

A 17-year-old Reston girl has died after an accident on Lee Highway last month.
Fairfax County Police said Jasmyne Grant, for unknown reason, exited the backseat of an Infiniti driven by her grandparents about 2:45 a.m.on July 31.
The girl fell onto the travel lanes of Lee Highway, police said. Her injuries were determined to be life-threatening and she was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital.

Grant died of her injuries on Tuesday.
The Crash Reconstruction Unit is continuing the investigation.
