Reston Man Arrested for Unlawful Entry

Fairfax County Police say a Reston man was arrested last week when he unlawfully entered a residence.

Jermaine Purnell, 31, was charged with unalawful entry after police said he entered a home in the 2100 block of Westglade Court about 11 a.m. on July 9.

In separate and unrelated crime news reported by police:

BURGLARY, 1300 block of Aldbury Way, July 7, 2:30 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole jewelry. There were no signs of forced entry.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 1400 Lake Fairfax Drive, July 9, 6:15 a.m. Officers were called for a report that someone entered the pool area at The Water Mine at Lake Fairfax Park. No one was located and there were no signs of forced entry.

Leesburg Pike/Georgetown Pike, equipment from construction site
