SLHS Senior Earns Apple Credit Union Award

South Lakes High School senior Chadia King has been honored as a 2013 Apple Scholar by the Apple Federal Credit Union.

King is one of 35 area teens who will receive a 

$4,000 scholarship.

Apple is able to give out more than $140,000 in scholarships with its 

philanthropic arm, the Apple FCU Education Foundation.  

scholarships are awarded to students who have demonstrated a "commitment to helping their school and/or community."

This year’s 35 “Apple Scholars” were selected from over 400 applications that were reviewed by a committee of 30 judges from the Apple FCU membership community, Apple reps said in a press release.
