SLHS' Youngren to Play College Volleyball

South Lakes High School volleyball player Maddie Youngren will play at NCAA Division III Connecticut College next year.

South Lakes volleyball coach Cheri Hostetler said at a signing ceremony at the school on Wednesday that the South Lakes program has come a long way in the last few years.

"I am so excited for Maddie," the coach said. "She started playing volleyball year-round freshman year. This season she helped us beat Langley for the first time ever. Maddie helped start that tradition."

Connecticut College's women's volleyball team went 25-4 in 2012.
