Top 5 Most Outrageous Inauguration AirBnB Listings in Reston/Herndon

Donald Trump's Jan. 20 inauguration is fast approaching, and some locals are looking to rent out their places for some insane rates.

Inauguration Day is going to bring scores of outsiders desperate for a place to stay, and locals in Herndon and Reston are certainly going to take advantage of that. While most of the properties posted on AirBnB are reasonable, there are some truly outrageous listings that must be seen to be believed.

We can't fault these people for trying to get the most out of their abode. But based on both price tag and what they offer, the following listings in the area may be a bit overboard.

All of the following listings cover a three-night period from Jan. 19-22.

That's right, a one-bedroom apartment with a single bathroom in Herndon has been listed for nearly seven large on AirBnB. The listing says it accommodates up to four people, although you'd better bring some sleeping bags because there is only one bed.

1-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment (Herndon)

Cost for three-night stay: $4,900

This "luxurious" Dulles apartment only claims to accommodate two, although its offerings appear to be about the same as the listing above. That's $1,499 per night plus a $125 cleaning fee and a $278 service fee to enjoy the Weekend of Trump 25 miles outside of the District. But hey, it does have a den.

1-bedroom, 1-bathroom house (Reston)

Cost for three-night stay: $4,771

How about your very own "inauguration suite" in Reston for the low price of $4,771 for three nights? Sure, it only accommodates two people, but the shampoo is free.

2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment (Reston)

Cost for three-night stay: $5,218

At least this listing gives you a little more bang for your buck. You'll get twice as much space and you get to stay in Reston Town Center at The Harrison. But again, you're plunking down more than five grand for three nights at an apartment that is at least a half hour outside of D.C. on a good day, and a much longer commute than that on Inauguration Day.

2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment (Reston)

Cost for three-night stay: $4,266

It's remarkable to say that a two-bedroom apartment a half hour outside of D.C. going for more than four grand for three nights barely cracks the top five for most expensive Herndon and Reston AirBnB listings, but here we are. This apartment, also at the Harrison, is a full $1,000 less than the other listing at the same location above -- and yet, still probably way too much.
