- The Richmond Police Department has identified the victim in the shooting on Highland View Avenue. Monday night's shooting, where police located an adult male, Craddock, unresponsive inside the residence. According to police, he had suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. (Press Release Desk)
- A man and woman were found dead in South Richmond. On Feb. 18, police responded to the 1300 block of Minefee Street for reports of random gunfire. Officers found 35-year-old Anthony Robinson down and unresponsive, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The next day, Sharonda Jasper was found down and unresponsive in an apartment on the 1300 block of Minefee Street. She did not have any visible injuries but was also pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives have determined that there is a connection between the two individuals (WRIC ABC 8News)
- Richmond hit a record temperature for February last week. On Feb. 23, the temperature at Richmond International Airport peaked at 83 degrees, tying it as one of the hottest February days in Richmond. This is only the third time Richmond has had a February temperature that high; the record of 83 degrees was first set in 1930, then again in 1932. (Richmond Times-Dispatch)

- Richmond Animal Care and Control found placement for a large flock of birds. On Wednesday, the organization had 40 roller pigeons needing a place to live. Thanks to the community's help, all 40 pigeons found placement. (Richmond Animal Care and Control via Facebook)
