- Richmond police responded to a shooting Sunday morning around 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of North 17th Street and East Broad Street. When police responded to the Shockoe Bottom area, the woman was found with a gunshot wound and immediately transferred to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The incident is still under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Richmond police. (WRIC ABC 8News)
- The loved ones of Antajuan Hawkins held a vigil at the Pine Camp Cultural Arts and Community Center Saturday for the young man who was found dead on Feb. 25. Hawkins was reported missing on Feb. 23; his body was found two days later near the community center. Medical examiners are still trying to determine the exact cause of death. Currently, 20-year-old Randel Parker has been charged with stabbing while committing a felony in connection with Hawkins' death. (WWBT)
- On Mar. 11, the annual Neighborhood Clean-Up Program will return to help residents get rid of their larger items such as furniture and appliances. The city will be divided into 15 zones and each zone will be visited twice between Mar. 11 and Nov. 18. Some items that will not be accepted will include electronics, construction debris, broken glass, and hazardous waste. For more information, residents can contact the Richmond Department of Public Works. (WRIC ABC 8News)
