• 'Dream a little bit bigger': The Humble Hustle founder reflects on 10-year anniversary (roanoke.com) — A Roanoke native’s nonprofit, The Humble Hustle Co., is marking 10 years of creative community work, including its annual Keep Giving Coat Drive for local students. This year’s drive outfitted kids at Preston Park Elementary with warm new jackets, while founder Xavier Duckett reflects on how far his hometown has come and where it’s headed next. 
• 11th Annual WSLS Home for Good Home Ready for Dedication (wsls.com) — A Roanoke family is about to receive the keys to a new Habitat for Humanity home, the 11th built through WSLS’s Home for Good project and the 300th Habitat build in the Roanoke Valley. The Toure family helped construct the house alongside volunteers, and a dedication ceremony Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. will celebrate the community effort just in time for the holidays.
• Rail Yard Dawgs slowed by Macon in 3-1 weekend home loss (wset.com) — Roanoke’s Rail Yard Dawgs saw their three-game win streak snapped Saturday in a 3–1 home loss to the Macon Mayhem at Berglund Center. Andrew Stacey scored just 10 seconds in and dropped the gloves again, but Roanoke’s power play went cold as Macon’s late empty-netter sealed it. The Dawgs now head to Fayetteville on Friday, December 19.
