Seven Patrick Henry seniors on Wednesday, Nov. 10, signed letters of intent and committed to continuing their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level. "This is one of our exciting parts of the school year, being able to recognize the hard work, time, and dedication our athletes have put into their academics and athletics," said Patrick Henry Athletic Director Patti Sheedy. "We are very proud of them." The following seniors participated in Wednesday’s signing ceremony: Families, coaches, teammates, classmates, college officials, and Patrick Henry administrators also attended the ceremony. "These young ladies and gentlemen would not be here without the support of their families, their coaches, their teammates," Ms. Sheedy said. She also thanked the Patrick Henry Boosters for providing flowers and cakes and the counseling team for cutting and serving the cakes. Ms. Sheedy also noted that all seven athletes still have their senior season ahead of them, "to do amazing things and to build on their legacy." "We so look forward to watching them compete and then being able to see them carry on with Patrick Henry next to their name in their college recognition. This is where they came from, and this is what they did in the future."
