Roanoke's 4th Of July Fireworks 2020 Canceled

Roanoke's traditional Fourth of July events may be canceled, but there are several other ways you can celebrate the holiday safely.

ROANOKE, VA — July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Fourth of July events, including Roanoke. Although Roanoke’s fireworks, parade and 5K event have been canceled, they have been replaced with a variety of virtual events, including the American National Bank's Four on the Fourth virtual races.

The race has a total of 575 available spots, and every participant will earn a finisher's medal. Participants can complete their race anytime between July 1 and July 5 -- information on how to upload their times will be sent to participants at a later date.
