Organized Theft Ring Members Charged With Larceny At Tysons Corner

Three people from New York City with $15,000 worth of stolen merchandise from Tysons Corner Center were arrested Tuesday night, police said.

TYSONS, VA — Three people from New York City who police described as members of an organized theft ring were taken into custody Tuesday night in connection with stealing $15,000 worth of merchandise from several businesses at Tysons Corner Center.

The arrests came less than a week after three other New Yorkers were arrested by Fairfax County police outside Tysons Galleria on credit card fraud and other charges.

Shortly after 9 p.m. on Tuesday, members of the Fairfax County Police Department's Tysons Urban Team were contacted by a Sunglass Hut employee about a theft that had just occurred. The suspects were seen on surveillance still inside the mall, police said.

Detectives found all three suspects and took them into custody. The recovered merchandise was found to belong to Sunglass Hut and other businesses inside Tysons Corner Center, including Express, H&M, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Victoria’s Secret, American Eagle and Guess, according to police.

The three suspects — two women and one man — were taken to the Fairfax County jail and held on no bond, according to police.

Jordan Pastrana-Roncancio, 20, was charged with larceny with intent to sell, conspire to commit larceny, two counts of grand Larceny and petit larceny. Dayana Valentina Pastana-Roncancio, 19, was charged with two counts of grand larceny, conspire to commit larceny, and larceny with intent to sell. Hansbleidy Katerin Sanabria-Suarez, 20, was charged with two counts of grand larceny, conspire to commit larceny, and larceny with intent to sell.

In last week's incident, TUT officers found 36 fictitious driver’s licenses, 32 stolen credit cards, a U.S. Postal Service mail carrier’s uniform and stolen mail in a rental car outside Tysons Galleria on Sept. 14 after surveilling two men for credit card fraud.

The two men and a woman inside the rental car, all from New York, were taken into custody and were held in the Fairfax County jail on no bond, police said.
