Shooting On I-495/Beltway Near Tysons Investigated By State Police

TYSONS, VA — Virginia State Police are asking the public for any information they may have about an apparent shooting incident that occurred Thursday morning on the Capital Beltway near Tysons.

VSP responded around 6:08 a.m. to a van that had stopped alongside the northbound lanes of I-495 near Exit 45 for the Dulles Toll Road/Route 267. The driver told state police that there was a bullet hole in the passenger side of the van. No injuries were reported in connection with this incident.

Anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity between 5:50 a.m. and 6:05 a.m. on Thursday is asked to contact state police at 804-750-8798 or by email at questions@vsp.virginia.gov.
