Woman Robbed at Gunpoint at Tysons Bank ATM

A man brandishing a handgun demanded cash and fled on foot.

A 27-year-old woman was robbed by a masked, armed man inside the entryway of a local bank Tuesday evening, according to Fairfax County Police Department officials. 

The woman was withdrawing money from a bank in the 8300 block of Greensboro Drive in Tysons shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday "when a man entered, brandished a handgun and demanded cash," according to a report from police. "The victim complied. The suspect took the cash and fled on foot toward International Drive."

Police released this description of the suspect: "5 feet, 8 inches to 6 feet tall, 180 to 200 pounds with a muscular build. The victim was unable to determine his race. The suspect was wearing black pants, black shoes, a black shirt and black jacket and had a black mask covering his face."
