Vienna Mayor, Town Council Candidate Slate Set For 2025 Election
In addition to state races, Town of Vienna voters will have the next elections for Town Council and mayor.

VIENNA, VA — In addition to state elections, the Town of Vienna will have local races on the ballot this November. Candidates have been announced for mayor and Vienna Town Council. The town election will happen during the Nov. 4 general election.
According to the August Vienna Voice newsletter, incumbent Mayor Linda Colbert is unopposed in the mayoral race.
There are seven candidates running for six Town Council seats. Incumbent Town Council members running for re-election are Sandra Allen, Charles "Chuck" Anderson, Roy Baldwin, Jessica Ramakis and Howard Springsteen. Newcomer candidates include Doug Francis and Dan Nash. Councilmember Ray Brill is not seeking re-election.

According to the town government, the Town Council made up of the mayor and six councilmembers sets policies, ordinances and resolutions, approves the annual town budget, sets tax rates, approves land use proposals, and makes appointments to town boards and commissions.
All seven seats are on the ballot at the same time, a change from past staggered two-year terms. A chance in Virginia law also moved town elections from May to November.

Residents are only eligible to vote in the town elections if they have an address within town limits. Elections are managed by the Fairfax County Office of Elections.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4. Early voting for the November election will begin on Sept. 19. Other races on the ballot will be Virginia governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general and Virginia House of Delegates.
