Armed Robbery Early Sunday Morning on Leesburg Pike

Police say masked suspects robbed a business, assaulted an employee at the store, in the 8500 block of Leesburg Pike.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Police say a business was robbed at gunpoint early Sunday in the 8500 block of Leesburg Pike in Fairfax County.

Police did not identify the business that was robbed.

Police say a victim was working in the store early Sunday when he was approached by two men. The suspects displayed a handgun, police said. One suspect assaulted the victim and both suspects took cash and other property from the business and fled. The victim was treated for minor injuries.

One suspect was described as white, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue undershirt, dark pants, black and white shoes, and white gloves, according to police. His face was covered.

The second suspect was described as unknown race, approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 11 with a thin build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray jeans, black and white shoes, with his face covered, police said.
