Black Friday Hours 2025: When Malls Will Be Open In Northern Virginia

Some families consider Black Friday the kickoff of the holiday shopping season, providing a chance to score deals while checking off gifts on your list.

Northern Virginia's malls are generally closed on Thanksgiving. That means shoppers will head out on Black Friday to scout discounts at malls and retailers. It is followed by Small Business Saturday to support mom-and-pop shops, Cyber Monday for deals online and Giving Tuesday as a way to support charities.
