Company's Food Donation Supports Vienna-Based Charity CHO
A company has made a holiday tradition of collecting food donations for the Committee for Helping Others in Vienna.

VIENNA, VA — For the last several years, one company has made a holiday tradition of collecting food donations to support Vienna-based charity Committee for Helping Others.
Capstone Strategic, a business management consultant based in the Tysons area, provided several hundred pounds of nonperishable food to the Committee for Helping Others office on Monday. The donation supports the Committee for Helping Others emergency food pantry.
The Capstone Cares Comfort & Joy Food Drive, part of the company's Capstone Cares philanthropic effort, started in November. The company received donations from all over the U.S. to benefit Committee for Helping Others.

"This is our third year of collecting food items and we receive more donations and support every time," said David Braun, CEO and Founder of Capstone. "I want to thank all of our generous donors for helping Capstone assist CHO in bringing a bit of comfort and joy to our neighbors in need this holiday season."

Committee for Helping Others is a volunteer-run organization that provides food and other assistance to people in need in the Vienna, Oakton, Dunn Loring and Merrifield areas. The emergency food pantry is available by appointment. During the holiday season, a gift and food certificate program is also organized. Donations are accepted, including grocery store gift cards.

Patch has partnered with Feeding America since 2020 to help raise awareness in our local communities of hunger, a persistent national problem exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Feeding America, which supports 200 food banks and 60,000 local meals programs across the country, estimates that nearly 34 million people, including 9 million children — about 1 in 6 Americans — are living with food insecurity. This is a Patch social good project; Feeding America receives 100 percent of donations. Find out how you can donate in your community or find a food pantry near you.
