Election Results In for Town of Vienna

Voters headed to the polls Tuesday in Vienna to elect three members to Town Council, vote for Mayor.

VIENNA, VA -- Voters in the Town of Vienna have elected Linda Colbert, Pasha Majdi and Douglas Noble to the Vienna Town Council.

Mayor Laurie A. DiRocco was re-elected Tuesday; she ran unopposed.

Colbert is currently a member of the Council as is Majdi; Noble, currently a planning commissioner for the Town, is a newcomer to the Town Council.

Roy Baldwin and C. Craig Burns had also run for a seat on the Council.

Mayor

  • Laurie A. DiRocco: 1,309 votes/95.76 percent of the vote (58 write-ins got 4.24 percent of the vote)

Town Council

  • Roy J. Baldwin: 671 votes/16.98 percent
  • C. Craig Burns: 382 votes/9.67 percent
  • Linda Jane Colbert: 1,096 votes/27.73 percent
  • Pasha M. Majdi: 1,007 votes/25.48 percent
  • Douglas E. Noble: 768 votes/19.43 percent
  • Write-in: 28 votes/.71 percent

The mayor and Town Council members serve two-year terms. Councilmembers are elected at large for staggered two-year terms.

Vienna Town Council Member Edythe Frankel Kelleher announced earlier that she won’t be seeking another term on the Vienna Town Council. After serving on the council for the past 14 years, she said that “it’s somebody else’s turn” to serve on the Council. Kelleher noted that she also plans to concentrate on her career at the Southeast Fairfax Development Corporation, where she is executive director.
