Falcon 5K at Flint Hill Elementary School on 5/2/15

WHAT: 6th Annual Falcon 5K & Fun Run

OVERVIEW: Come run with us at the 6th annual Flint Hill Elementary Falcon 5K and Fun Run. Proceeds fund programs that provide equipment, curriculum supplies, and student enrichment programs at Flint Hill Elementary School.

WHEN: Saturday, May 2, 2015. The 5K starts at 8 a.m. The Fun Run starts at 9 a.m. Prize ceremony follows at approximately 9:30 a.m.

WHERE: The race starts and finishes at Flint Hill Elementary School (2444 Flint Hill Road, Vienna, VA 22181)

COURSE DESCRIPTION: The Falcon 5K begins on school grounds and winds through neighboring streets Falcon 5K Course Map. Race marshals and police officers are posted along the route. Runners and walkers wear bibs with timing chips. Precise times are recorded and top female and male finishers are awarded among 11 age categories. All runners and walkers receive participation ribbons.
The Fun Run is just under one mile and takes place on school grounds. All runners receive participation ribbons.
Post-race refreshments are provided to all participants.

AWARDS: Participation awards will be given to all youth finishers in both events. Age groups for the 5k are: 8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Prizes will be awarded to the top female and male finishers in all age groups. The prize ceremony follows the race at approximately 9:30 AM.
