Julie Mudrick shows up in different Halloween costumes when she picks up her kids at the bus stop, teaching her kids to have fun, be unique.

VIENNA, VA -- It's that time of year, with Halloween just a week a way, it's not all that unusual to see someone dressed up outside a party store waving passersby to come on inside. (We saw a "Gumby" character waving at cars this weekend.)

But if you live in Vienna, you might see a mom or two in costume at their kids' bus stop. Vienna mom Julie Mudrick is teaching her kids how to have fun and be unique when she shows up at their bus stop in a different costume each day, she says on her Instagram account, where's she's documenting the fun and has is keeping up a tradition she started several years ago. She has added a hashtag to her posts dubbing them #BusStopCostumes.

How fun a mom is Mudrick? So far, she's posted photos of herself in getups from "Spiderman" to Alexander Hamilton to Voldemort from "Harry Potter."

Why do they do it? One mom says:

"My kids reactions? Awesome. #ohlucylaughed and told her friends that it was for mommas blog (guilty!) and Seth just shook his head and asked "why"? To which I said- why not?"
