Holiday Events In Vienna: Church Street Holiday Stroll, Gift Show, Puppy Nativity

VIENNA, VA — Vienna will start to bring the holiday cheer as various events kick off the season.

One of the highlights is the Church Street Holiday Stroll on Monday, Dec. 1, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Santa joins Mayor Linda Colbert for the tree lighting amid live holiday music from local groups. Other activities include roasting marshmallow by firepits, gingerbread ornament decorating stations, and visits to the Freeman Store and Museum, Little Library, Caboose, Train Station, Knights of Columbus (formerly First Baptist Church) and Vienna Presbyterian's Old Chapel. Church Street businesses will also be open.

Visitors can bring their decorated gingerbread ornament to the Explore Vienna VA tent across from the Freeman Store by 6:50 p.m. to submit it for judging. A prize pack of gift cards to local businesses will be awarded in several categories. Winners will be announced at 7 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to take a selfie or festive family photo at the gingerbread house arch at the end of Church Street near Lawyers Road.
