Karin's Florist to Be Featured on Wednesday Morning TV Show

Be sure to tune in Wednesday morning as longtime Vienna business celebrating 60th anniversary is featured on TV program.

VIENNA, VA -- Karin's Florist, celebrating its 60th year in business, will be front and center Wednesday on "Great Day Washington," a morning program on WUSA-9. The show begins airing at 9 a.m.

Longtime Vienna business Karin’s Florist is celebrating its 60th diamond anniversary this year by featuring its brand new Disney line with a "Cinderella Dream Celebration," on Wednesday, Oct. 26. Karin's Florist will transform into a Disney fairytale Wednesday, prior to the Town's Halloween parade.

Residents are welcome to come celebrate with Cinderella and Prince Charming and then send them off as they ride away to join the 70th annual parade in a horse-drawn Cinderella carriage adorned with thousands of fresh flowers. A special guest will join the royal couple. A lucky little girl will be chosen via a social media contest to ride in the Cinderella carriage with the royal couple and live the life of a princess for one night. The contest closed last Wednesday.

You can stop by for a photo throughout the day Oct. 26. Activity will begin in the early morning hours outside the shop with floral designers weaving and draping thousands of fresh flowers all over an old fashioned Cinderella carriage provided by Shenandoah Carriage Company. There will also be plenty of party setup going on for the Cinderella Dream Celebration red carpet event later that day.

A reception begins at 3:30 p.m., just prior to the Halloween parade, where the first 60 guests (first come, first serve) will prepare to meet and take photographs with Cinderella, Prince Charming and the flower-draped carriage. At 4 p.m., there will be an introduction of the royal couple and the Little Princess winner. Guests with tickets will have the opportunity to take photos and talk with Cinderella and Prince Charming on the red carpet. Each one of the 60 guests will receive a special gift from the royal couple before they ride off to join the other parade floats. Karin's Florist is located at 527 Maple Ave. East in Vienna.
