Lane Closures Planned for I-66 Inside the Beltway

From The Virginia Department of Transportation: The Virginia Department of Transportation has scheduled lane closures on I-66 inside the Beltway between Exits 71 (Glebe Rd./ Fairfax Dr.) and 72 (Lee Hwy./Spout Run Pkwy.), from 9 p.m. on January 17 until 5 a.m. on January 18. There will be two or more 15-minute closures of all lanes in both directions between midnight and 4 a.m. on January 18. These closures are needed to safely install the first of eight gantries for I-66 inside the Beltway tolling operations.

Tolling during peak periods in the peak directions on I-66 inside the Beltway is expected to begin this summer.
