Madison High School 'Give-Back-a-Thon' Raises More Than $3,000
Twelve-hour event Saturday in Vienna raised more than $3,000, all of which will be donated to Girls Learn in Zambia.
VIENNA, VA -- On Saturday, Jan. 28, more than 70 students participated in the Madison Give Back-a-thon to raise money for Girls Learn, according to Fairfax County Public Schools.
During the 12-hour event, local business members and teachers taught basic computer coding to the participants. Lunch and dinner for the event were sponsored by Annie Minkler and Willard’s BBW.
More than $3,000 was raised during this event, all of which will be donated to Girls Learn in Zambia.
